Recording vocals at home doesn’t have to be difficult—but it does require some forethought and basic know-how. Here are some of the most important factors to consider when setting up a home recording space for clean and professional-sounding vocals.

1. Set Up Your Space

Start by finding the quietest corner of your home. Any ambient noises—like traffic or air conditioners—can end up in your takes. If your room sounds too “live,” try adding thick blankets or curtains to reduce reflections. A well-treated space goes a long way toward capturing clearer vocals.
