Site Rules
1. Avoiding Platform Bypass
Any attempt to conduct business outside of Audiolancer.io or evade platform fees will result in account termination. This policy is in place to maintain user safety and security. Our platform provides essential safeguards such as agreements and transaction logs. Operating outside these parameters leaves users vulnerable and without recourse in case of disputes.
2. Authentic Representation
Producers or writers collaborating with vocalists must explicitly disclose this arrangement in their profile, including the singer's identity and contact details upon request. Misrepresenting one's identity for financial gain is considered fraudulent and may be reported to relevant authorities. We are committed to maintaining a transparent and honest marketplace.
3. Fair Compensation Policy
Job postings offering no monetary compensation or solely royalty-based payment will be promptly removed without prior notice. Audiolancer.io is a professional platform designed to provide fair, paid opportunities. We recognize that this is how our users earn their living and strive to maintain a marketplace of valuable, compensated work.
4. Professional Conduct
All Audiolancer.io users are required to maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor in their interactions, regardless of their role as employer or employee. Any form of abuse, use of profanity, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate account suspension.
5. Responsiveness and Professionalism
Participants in Jobs, Services, or Custom Services on Audiolancer.io are expected to maintain prompt and professional communication. This applies to both clients and service providers. Failure to respond in a timely manner may result in the closure of the project in favor of the responsive party. Additionally, it may lead to the potential revocation of Certification status, where applicable. We encourage all users to stay engaged and responsive throughout the duration of their projects to ensure smooth collaboration and successful outcomes.
6. Creative Disagreements
For Services, Jobs, and Custom Services, the paying customer must be satisfied with the work delivered, but within the limits of what was negotiated prior to payment being made. Requests for additional work outside the agreed scope or extra revisions beyond those specified are not permitted under these rules. If a client is dissatisfied with the standard of work, they should first address the issue with the service provider and attempt to reach a mutually agreeable settlement. If no resolution can be found, the matter can be escalated to Audiolancer.io, who will make the final decision on the case. It's important to note that clients cannot use or claim rights to work they haven't paid for. Similarly, service providers retain all rights to their work until payment is received. In cases where payment is not made, service providers are free to repurpose their work for sale on Audiolancer.io's Marketplace or for future Services, Jobs, or Custom Services.
7. Copyright and Ownership
Users must only upload and sell content they fully own or have explicit rights to monetize. This includes ensuring all samples, vocals, and instrumentals are either original works or properly licensed with documentation. Uploading copyrighted material without proper authorization will result in immediate content removal and possible account termination. For collaborative works, all contributing parties must be properly credited and compensated according to agreed terms.
8. Payment and Licensing Terms
All financial transactions must be conducted through Audiolancer's platform using our approved payment methods. Licensing terms must be clearly stated before any transaction, including whether the work is being sold exclusively or non-exclusively. Once a track is sold exclusively, it must be immediately removed from all other platforms and cannot be resold. Users must honor all licensing agreements and royalty commitments as specified in their contracts.
9. Quality Standards
All audio content must meet professional quality standards. This includes proper mixing, mastering, and appropriate file formats. Low-quality recordings, files with technical issues, or content with excessive noise will be removed. For sample packs and libraries, all content must be properly labeled, organized, and include accurate metadata.
10. Communication and Service Delivery
When engaging in custom work or services, clear communication regarding project scope, deliverables, and timelines must be established upfront. All agreements regarding revisions, delivery formats, and usage rights must be documented through the platform's messaging system. This ensures transparency and provides a clear record in case of disputes.
